It's late Saturday night and I am just now reading this post. I can't believe I missed reading it. I'm using Google Reader and it's very reliable (nothing to compare it to). Oh well.

I'm sorry you had such a crappy night. Lucky is 10 wks old now. And I ached and cramped and limped and just plain HURT!!! for the last 6 weeks. He was very low and very big and would almost paralyze my left leg without any notice. I had sciatica early, but this was NOT sciatica. This was big-baby-on-every-nerve-and-hip-joint kind of pain.

I totally feel for you. And am glad you improved.

Next time the dr's office doesn't call you back fast enough, get up and go there.

Take it easy. Stay off those feet. Find some way to get comfortable. Be worthlessly LAZY and enjoy it.

Rx by: Dr. Auburn Gal Always

(I'm not a real doctor, I just play one at home.)

hey! i went into preterm at 28wks w/ my first and put on bedrest til i went 5 days overdue and had to be induced--ugh--she was 9#4oz out the baby shoot! NOt fun! i read all your other advice and they had me on my LEFT side all the time (my nice husband used to refer to me as "Jaba the Butt" as i lay on my left side for 3 months and got huge)+ the intoxicating levels of water intake which means you are obviously tied to the toilet at this point! When you hit 34wks, which is tomorrow for me, they said everything would be fine to deliver--small but healthy, you better not beat me to delivery though!JK :)i can't wait to see pics of Petunia! Hang in there! I always play that game where i think "i must be due and they got my date wrong b/c i feel like crap?hmm"--that's always fun--it makes me happy for a minute anyway :)

Maybe it's your body's way of saying Slow Down, but as someone who also has a second child, I know just how impossible it is to take it easy when you have a toddler and a baby growing within.

My midwives were big on wine. Have a glass of wine, they'd say. But I don't think everyone is comfortable with that advice. Warm bath, feet up, rest if you can.

Oh, I know exactly how that is- I went into preterm labor at 32 weeks and then was on bedrest till 36 weeks. Addy came three days after I was allowed to get up! (She was totally healthy though.)
I know how freaky that feeling is, to imagine having a tiny little baby in an incubator and stuff. But if you do only hold out a few more weeks... say three... well, I can tell you, having a smaller baby who's very ready to be born does make for a fast and relatively easy delivery! So it's not all bad. But most of all, of course, I wish you a healthy baby!

Remember what I told you about the Braxton Hicks with #2. And yeah, watch that water intake girly! Next time, don't hesitate to call me if you think you need to go to the ER. I'll help any way I can!
