I love his sweet little voice. I love that he’s learning to say please in such a way that he makes it impossible to say no.
I love that he would sit for hours having me draw hearts and trucks if only I had the time.
I love how he loves his sister, his concern for her when she cries, and how he always kisses her first…even before Mommy.
I love to see his joy when Hi-5 or Blue’s Clues starts, how his eyes light up and his smile widens.
I love how he loves his Daddy, his hero, his favorite play pal.
I love his laugh and his never ending ability to make me laugh.
How could I not love a little boy who wears a bucket on his head, camo shorts, and my flip flops, all while mowing the tile in the kitchen?!
This is my boy, my heart. My love.

How sweet! I did a “I love it when” post once, too, and you’ve reminded me it’s time to do one again. That picture is classic!

ROFL Babyhead has the same condition…”Buckethead”. HAHA And he also likes to wear my high heels (or actually whatever shoe he can find that is mine or DH’s).
I have to say my favorite picture of Babyhead is shoes that are not his is him in my dad’s work boots. That picture makes me go all mushy inside.
It is ok to complain…sometimes we have to complain to others who know what we are going through. It is that feeling of community that makes us feel better.
But it is also helpful to remember to good things like this as well. I always try to find the good things about my son when he is driving me crazy…like when he plays with his cars and yells at his dad to get out (I assume pretending his dad is in one of the cars!) or when he plays with his action figures and pretends they are us and the ILs…I love those times.
And like this morning when he woke up and asked for a hug, then laid on top of me because we were still in bed to watch Mickey Mouse Club house…and when he jammed his elbows in my stomach and said “Sorry Mommy…” and when I gave him cheerios and he said, “Thank you Mommy…”.
The good times almost always outnumber the bad times.

Aw, so cute. We do have to make lists like these sometimes to remind us about why in the world we were crazy enough to have kids.

SO freaking cute.
Helpful too, I mean it can be a real drag when you have to mow your own floor.

He is the epitome of cuteness. This is a good post to revisit the next time the Aliens swipe him.

He is mowing the tile- OMG I love him, too!
My 2.5 yo has a big ol’ head and gets buckets stuck on his head. We’re so proud!

that photo is SO cute! We may think his outfit is funny but I’m sure he has some (very logical and important) reasons for wearing a bucket on his head!

I frequently have to remind myself of how much we wanted kids….especially because they are only 16 months apart!

How is it that they can drive us to drink, wonder why we ever wanted kids, and then do something extra sweet or use those sweet little voices and then you can’t remember why you were so irritated?
And, what is it with kids and buckets? Charity has her ‘favorite’ bucket that her head is now getting to big for, so I guess we’ll be in search of a new one before long.

Can I borrow him? I hate it when the tile in my kitchen gets too long.
That’s so cute
By Erica on 07.26.07 6:42 pm | Permalink
Adorable! Now if only you could get him to use a REAL mop with bucket…you could teach him to do ALL your household chores.

Its really important to remember the good things about them sometimes (need to try right now as my eldest rubs avocado into the curtains) , he sounds like such a sweet buy and the piccie is just so great
