Extreme Haiku Kitchen Edition

Haiku Friday

Lights in my kitchen
Tate put them up, he’s so proud
Praise Tate! I can see!

My nice, neat pantry
There’s a place for everything
Don’t mess it up, please!

Bottom pantry shelf
Looking at it gives me hives
Hell has broken loose

Here resides my brain
Appointments, birthdays, phone calls
My calendar pal

African Violets
One alive, one dead, that’s odd
I should just pitch it

I don’t kill all plants
My bamboo plant is awesome
Good luck in Bama

Look!! Pretty, black stove!!
Got you for $200 bucks
I love a bargain!

Damn kitchen counters
Always messy, full of crap
This gives me hives, too

Hmmm, see the fryer?
This could explain my big ass
But I like fried food

Doodaddy tagged me for this 8 things about my kitchen meme…this was merely a break from my meme hiatus, which resumes……Now.

Update…Phoenix also tagged me for an 8 things about me meme, so BOO-YA! Three birds with one stone!

To play along for Haiku Friday, follow these steps:

1. Write your own haiku on your blog. You can do one or many, all following a theme or just random. What’s a haiku, you ask? Click here.

2. Sign the Mister Linky below with your name and the link to your haiku post (the specific post URL, not your generic blog URL). We will delete your link if it doesn’t go to a haiku. If you need help with this, contact Jennifer or myself.

3. Pick up a Haiku Friday button to display on the post or in your sidebar by clicking the button above.

Love your kitchen. At least you’ve kept one of the African violets alive. If it were me, I’d have killed ‘em both.

Now that’s a multitasking mama! Combining your haiku with the latest meme! You get extra points for that.

Me? Lately I need memes just to come up with a post. This Mommy brain needs recharging!

Great odes to your kitchen (And Tate!)!

I am too embarrassed to post pics of my cabinets. Except the ones I keep my dishes in, of course.

Way to go killing all of those memes at once. And, yay tate installing the lights. Your kitchen is WAY more organized than mine.

  23. Christina

    October 13, 2007 at 2:23 am

I am jealous of your pretty, pretty kitchen lights. Tate did an excellent job. And that pantry is so organized – you would have a heart attack if you saw my kitchen.

Oh maybe I am a poet and didn’t know it.

    October 13, 2007 at 3:28 pm

I don’t have a haiku, but I had to tell you, I have the SAME calandar/brain on my fridge! I don’t know why I think that’s so amazing. Maybe I should go back to bed.

    :)

    October 13, 2007 at 4:00 pm

You have actual food in your pantry!!! Maybe if I got that I might not need the diet!!! I have a lot of junk food, not that I eat it….. Congrats on the new light, I wish my hubby would get to his honey do list. And the stove for $200. I never find those bargains!!!HAHAHA.

  29. Bon

    October 13, 2007 at 5:16 pm

brilliant, dude. the haikus cracked me up anyway, but to take down the kitchen meme and the 8 things about me at the same time…i am humbled.

I would never be brave enough to post a pic of my pantry. There’s a reason that door always remains closed.

  32. Candace

    October 14, 2007 at 2:08 am

ah! you are funny! your stove rocks. your counters are neat compared to mine! I kill all plants including hard to kill bamboo.
I’m scared to haiku! but i love reading yours. especially the extend-a-version…

  33. Secret Agent Mama

    October 14, 2007 at 2:53 pm

  34. Nadine

    October 14, 2007 at 6:40 pm

I love the haiku & the pictures!

  35. Anna

    October 15, 2007 at 2:34 pm

Having fun catching up, I’ve been away and missing my bloggers!
