Jennifer! first off you have an amazing blog [and beautiful children!] Second, about the links popping up, etiquette is that internal links should not popup, but external links are fine to popup. this was a nuisance back when computers didnt have much memory OR tabs - but with both of those features now fairly common, its semi-respected to use "new windows" for href links. @Megan {Velveteen Mind}: You can change Pants' name anytime you want. I've changed my kid's names 3 times. I do think it's nice to have the cast of characters in your sidebar for the lazy folk who won't click on your About page. However, as long as you have an explanation in your About page, I think that's sufficient.

I'm going to come up with some questions for you. You might have to do an entire post of just "Stuff Megan still can't figure out or decide on and insists I know better about." Yep, that'll be a popular post. For the record, I've been posting more than once a week. My subscriptions go wildly up and down and I can see when people were just sticking around if I would write about something in particular that came up in discussion, but for the most part, I feel like I have a fairly core audience. At the very least, they notice when my name pops up as updated in their readers, as it has to literally shake the dust off of itself. Ooh, I have a question right now: I hate my oldest son's pseudonym now, which is Pants. Can I change it this late in the game? I got back and forth on number two all the time. Sometimes, rather than trying to post, I’ll just jot notes down, off the top of my head, because I HAVE to write. But most times, later in the day as I’m going over my notes, I have enough there to build something that *I* think is good…it might not be to others, but if I feel comfortable with what I’ve written, at the end of the day, that’s all that matters.

However, having said that, there will be days when I’ll beat myself ’round the ears about this very topic.
