Damn it, Indiana. How am I supposed to quit you?

This weekend, Tate was home from Tennessee. We spent time together as a family, enjoying our last days in Indiana.

Nearby where we live is a festival called the Feast of the Hunter’s Moon. If you ever get the opportunity to go, you totally should! All the participants dressed in garb from the late 1700’s. There were artisans from all over, making beautiful items from wood and handspun yarn and food cooked in huge cast-iron pots over open fires. The festival spanned several acres, and offered period entertainment with storytelling, music, and jugglers.

We had a blast, watching the sites, smelling the campfires burn, and watching the artists work.

On Sunday we enjoyed a most mediocre lunch at a local eatery. The place is a relic straight out of the mid to late 70’s, complete with heavy brown and orange decor. The place smells like fryer grease and the waitresses are a bit salty. It’s a fun place to eat, nevertheless.

Oh Indiana. I’m going to miss you.

We leave for Tennessee on Thursday. On Wednesday afternoon, I’m going to return my cable box and *GASP* modem. That means I will not have Internet access for OVER 24 HOURS.

Keep the Internet spinning while I’m gone, will ya?

@Teri, The yarn was amazing! It was so gorgeous and soft and EXPENSIVE.

I wanted a scarf, that was knitted in the most gorgeous turquoise yarn I’d ever seen. It was $75. OUCH.

@Beth, I guess I should be more clear…

I’m moving with the kids and just our most necessary items on Thursday. My inlaws are helping me. Tate and I will come back when it’s time to have our house packed, which luckily is all done by movers.

For now, we’re staying in a furnished 3 bedroom house, paid for by his company. At least it will have Internet access.

Also, I lived in TN for four years and I know it’s a great place. I just have no desire to move, no matter how great TN is!

Wow! That seems so fast. Obviously they think a lot of your hubby that you’re getting so much help. I hope things go well. I’ll be thinking of you. Breathe!

I promise you that Indiana will miss you as much as you will miss Indiana. I haven’t been to the Feast in years, but every year I say that I want to go. My only point of contention…Arni’s…mediocre??? Did you not get the sausage pizza and Junior with ranch??? Whenever I come back into town I have to stop there…but I understand, I suppose, if you weren’t raised on the stuff:)

I’m so sorry you have to go cold turkey on Indiana. Talk about fast-moving! Wowzers. I hope you can scramble your way to some interwebbery soon, in order to update us on your life!

OMG! No internet for 24 hours, if it were me, I’d have paramedics standing by with defibrilators…I might not breathe without it Just this morning I was scanning the news on the telly, and thought to myself, I must SO log on and see what’s really happening (i.e. on the web) because the internet is SO really where it’s at. TV is SO last century - ha ha.
