Pigtails! Pigtails! Pigtails!

I’ve been waiting for this day since finding out that I would have a daughter.  This may be the greatest thing about having Ella so far!

Of course, Carson didn’t want to be left out of the fun.

    How exciting!!

The pigtails always get me. I told my husband that pigtails alone make me want a girl =)

Okay, pigtails and cute pink onesies.

Also, I’m sorry I’m too challenged to do this in one comment lol, but the pigtails are very very cute =) I hope you took lots of pictures!

I can SO relate! I’m definitely spoiled with Madeline but I’m not even sure Adelaide’s would be long enough yet (and she won’t let me near enough to check).

Isn’t it the greatest? I had to wait almost 2 years before I could my older daughter’s hair in pigtails. It was tough waiting. I so desperately wanted to style her hair, but she didn’t have enough for the longest itme.

So freaking adorable. My poor daughter has a mom who can’t braid or even manage even pigtails. She looks JUST like you!!!

That’s so sweet! I loved putting my daughter in pigtails when she was a baby, even to the point that I would put “half” pigtails in her hair. It was too short so she had little ears off the top of her head just over her ears and the back just curled. When she got to kindergarten, she wore pigtails a handful of times and she’s been done for the most part. Can’t even get her to let me french braid them. Enjoy them while you can!

Everyone keeps telling how “tough” it’s going to be to have a girl, but my heart melts every time I see little pigtails that I just don’t freakin’ care.

    ADORABLE! Both of them.

I love fixing little girl hair! Anna is just now getting enough hair for half ponies and piggies. Niki doesn’t let me do her hair anymore unless she wants it curled. But in kindergarten and first grade, she went to school EVERY day with it fixed in pigtails, ponytails, braids, or barrettes. I miss those days, and can’t wait until Anna has more than a unruly toddler mullet!

Cute pics too…. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for boys only over here though. Faux-hawks, baby!!!

    March 5, 2009 | 4:45 am

Oh! My oldest didn’t have enough hair for pigtails until she was 3 or 4 at least. And then it was so fine and straight that no pigtail devices would stay in. I couldn’t get the second made before the first had slithered apart.

Thank goodness for #2, with curly-whirly hair. From very early, I had to french braid it to prevent the worst tangles imaginable!

hmmmm, thinking back, I guess I’m glad one of them didn’t have hair requiring so much attention, I never would have gotten to work on time if I’d had to braid two squirmy girls heads!

Now, I have a 21-month old boy, whose hair really, really needs a trim, but I hate the thought of his wispy tresses becoming a big-boy hair cut!

This is the one thing that made me really sad about having 3 boys. The thought of not being able to braid or put pigtails in anyone’s hair was so sad! But maybe I could try the boys’ hair while daddy is out…
