I had two years of tears and clinging with my girl, and she repeated first grade and she was a different girl on her first day of grade one (again). It makes this whole parenting thing so much easier. I recently dropped my son 3,000 miles away at school. He is the same kid who cried at the beginning of preschool, the beginning of kindergarten, etc. He's having the time of his life!
