“…the bell still rings for me as it does for all who truly believe.” -Chris Van Allsburg, The Polar Express
The North Pole Limited, Tennessee Valley Railroad, Chattanooga, TN.
Merry Christmas, everyone! Thank you for all of your kindness and support these past three years. I appreciate your visits to read about my life, my gripes, and my loves. Have a wonderful holiday, may it be filled with the hopeful and joyous sound of ringing bells.
(But not the incessant sound of a four year old and a two year old ringing some bells they got on a train ride because WOW. THAT can be a little annoying.)

Thanks! I JUST got the coat as a little celebratory gift to myself. 50% off, they were practically giving it away.

I know they do this all over the country. I think if you look for a Day out With Thomas, the same railroad companies also do these Polar Express things.

Well we did have to go through a magical tunnel to actually get to the North Pole. We weren’t allowed off the train once there…probably by design. The kids would have figured out the white stuff in the air wasn’t actually snow!

I bet there is something similar not far from you. Look up Day out With Thomas…the railroads who host that often also host a Polar Express outing.
