Remote Blogging

It’s 8 AM and I’ve already been in three states. I’m currently in Tennessee desperately hoping to find a Cracker Barrel soon.

Also, I may be putting my children up for auction right here on this very blog. Bidding will begin at a penny.

Are we there yet?

I decided it would be a good idea to DRIVE from California to Texas when we moved out here in April. With 2 kids. ALONE. Over a 3 day span.

Texas is the biggest fricken state with the biggest pile of nothing to look at for 10 interminable hours.

Praise the portable DVD player gods (and I swore I’d never give in and be THAT parent), or my kids might have been auctioned off as well. Good luck!

If you are in TN you should find one no problem. The headquarters is in Lebanon TN after all. :-) If not just go to Waffle House…mmmm Waffle House….

    And I don’t need anymore children…thanks. :-)

Ok, me! Me! Me! Just drop the kids at my house because I do need more!

What is it with the Cracker Barrel? It is my hubby’s favorite place, but I’d not be sad if I never saw another one, much less had to eat at it.

    I’ll take the kids.

I’ll just put them in the closet with Braden. See? No prob.

Jen, I will take your children. I mean, for the day. We can build a fort, or I can teach them advanced math. Or you know, we could just hang out because I’m sure that’s what little kids like to do. And I feel silly for asking, but what’s Cracker Barrel?

Oh that makes me even happier that we don’t have to travel for the holidays.

Hope you make it home safely and all kids remain in one piece.

Maybe you could find some Gypsy’s? I hear they are always after children.

Or the slave traders, I am always on the look-out for slave traders.

….I so know the "are we there yet?" syndrome…that's almost as bad as the "I have to go to the bathroom…again…and I can't hold it!"

I hope you make it. I know the feelings you had. I share them. But, I don’t think I’ve ever been to Cracker Barrel.

We have to travel to see either side of our family. Two little people on a looooooong road trip — so not fun.

Be strong. Be allied. Never let the little guys see you sweat. (or hear you cuss) Because they they know — you are totally defenseless with 180 miles to go.

You were so brave to make the drive in the first place. I hate driving the baby out to my parents’ place because sometimes he screams the whole way (and it’s only an hour). I hope your home now. :)
