Salted peanuts in a sugar filled Coca-Cola...
it's absolutely delicious...
Don't knock until you've tried it....
I'm now 40 years old and still enjoy it...
RC Cola or a cherry cola is also good....

I heard of this Peanuts in Coke thing from the Barbara Mandrell song, "I Was Country(When Country Wasn't Cool)". Other than that I haven't heard of it. It must be a countrified thing.

So funny, we were just talking about it tonight (that is me and my yankee boyfriend) and he was clueless of this. I grew up in 60's and my family did this, but it was not with a whole pack of nuts. Now tell Tate to give you some "sugar" (that is southern for" Kiss me") and tell him to "hug your neck" and he must say "yes ma'am to everyone (I even said "yes ma'am to men in my family.. grandmothers orders!) And if you get the piece of cake with the toothpick in it you MUST take it back to the cook and give them a hug/kiss... and I could go on! God ya gotta love the South!! Oh.. and if you order a "coke" in my neck of the woods, they are going to say "ok.. will what kind?" and you will then say "Dr. Pepper please" because that is the only "coke" we tend to drink here!

NEVER heard of it, and it completely grosses me out too.

I grew up in Maryland, college in North Florida (the south!) and have lived in Colorado for 15 years - so I am all over the States.

YICK!

Hey, y'all. Coke and peanuts is a SOUTHERN thing. Definitely something you would see at that little country store. You know the store I'm talking about? The one with that old, red metal coke cooler that had those real glass bottles of coke? If you don't know what I'm talking about...OF COURSE you have never heard of coke and peanuts.

Um, what? I'm not siding with Tate, but I have to admit I've never heard of it. How very odd.
