It’s 5:30. Really
Ella? Why are you awake?
Don’t you grin at me
You can’t charm me. Noooooo.
Chubby cheeks, dimples, blue eyes
Okay. I forgive
To play along for Haiku Friday, follow these steps:
1. Write your own haiku on your blog. You can do one or many, all following a theme or just random. What’s a haiku, you ask? Click here.
2. Sign the Mister Linky below with your name and the link to your haiku post (the specific post URL, not your generic blog URL). We will delete your link if it doesn’t go to a haiku. If you need help with this, contact Christina or myself.
3. Pick up a Haiku Friday button to display on the post or in your sidebar by clicking the button above.

it’s easy to forgive being awake at ungodly hours, when it’s your baby!
well…sometimes!
Oh I wish my son would sleep as long as sweet Ella! He’s up by 5:30. That’s just not fair, no?
MamaGeek’s last blog post..Haiku – Early Terrible Two’s?
I don’t know. Maybe it’s because mine don’t have dimples, but I can’t do 5:30. Ever!
Jenni’s last blog post..Do You Haiku?
Maybe there’s a full moon or something. Liam was up at 4am instead of 5 for his nursing..then woke up for good at 6am. WTF????

Great haiku!
They are little charmers, aren’t they?
At least she smiles. Davey thinks it’s funny to cry, cry, cry… I so wish I was an early bird. Happy Haiku Friday Jennifer!

Oh, drat Jennifer. And, her charm seduced you. Kids. They have such power. We need to figure out how to harness it. And, sell it. Mooohoohahaha

There must be something in the air…mine was up EVERY TWO HOURS last night demanding to eat. Did you put him up to it to punish me for siding with Tate?!

Oh those early mornings. We love those kids, and want to throttle them when they wake us up, but then they grin, they charm, they coo and we’re toast. The bad thing, they know it!!!
Darlin’ haiku Jennifer!

Very sweet. And I’m impressed you can do all of this while engineering a move! Hang in there and try to catch up on sleep.

Argh – my kid’s always been an early riser. I feel your pain. Coffee (with some Baileys) is a great way to get through those early mornings. hee.

Too bad you aren’t moving to Houston. Ella and Elizabeth could spend their early mornings.
Guess who’s sleeping now while I have two others to deal with?
Oh Jennifer, I’m so sorry. Peanut was a total rooster-baby and would be up for the day at 4:45 AM each and every day.
She’d be all cute and cooing and playing and smiling and I’d be all, “Kid, stop flashing that gummy grin. I want to grump! I want coffee! I want sleep! I want a footrub!”.
BusterBrown sleeps 11 hours each and every night. Whew. The Gods are kind.

We’re always awake by 5am, thanks to the older one.
When she’s 16, wake her up at 5:30am for a week so she knows what it feels like. As a bonus, it will probably make her think twice about having a baby for a long, long time.

I tried to leave a comment when I found you previously, but my computer locked up … and that was that. I find myself here again today quite by accident. I was accessing Yertle’s blog and found myself here unexpectedly. I love such surprises. I’m glad to find your Mr. Linky to Haiku Friday. I did my 1st two last week, one on each of my blogs. I look forward to participating weekly and visiting others who do this thing too. I love your piece about your babies! It’s as precious as they must be.
Hugs and blessings,
