Following Up on Stories I First Brought You Months Ago

Haiku Friday

My birthday.  A bust.
Baby cried for two hours
Then I found Tate asleep

**

Thank you for helping
with my decorating woes
Many suggestions!

Just to let you know,
Our TV IS centered
The pic didn’t show

**

One day dieting
would be going better if
I wasn’t a pig.

**

Finally escaped
the mighty grip of Children’s
Book of the Month Club

Witness protection
My new name is Suzie H.
Don’t tell, Internets!

**

Changed my laundry ways
Start water, add soap, then clothes
My clothes are SO CLEAN!

**

Still haven’t bought it.
The orgasmic Dyson is
just too expensive.

**

The miracle cream
Not THAT cream, but wrinkle cream
NOT a miracle

My forehead crev-ahce
Isn’t getting deeper,
but it is still there.

**

Meijer love story
Beginning to fizzle out
Cashiers need training

Cashiers need brains, too
The conveyor belt broken
Tell the customer!

Unloaded the cart
THEN find out the belt’s broken,
broken for awhile.

**

No stories to tell
about New Town’s storytime
Behaving myself.

To play along for Haiku Friday, follow these steps:

1. Write your own haiku on your blog. You can do one or many, all following a theme or just random. What’s a haiku, you ask? Click here.

2. Sign the Mister Linky below with your name and the link to your haiku post (the specific post URL, not your generic blog URL). We will delete your link if it doesn’t go to a haiku. If you need help with this, contact Christina or myself. REMEMBER…ONLY sign Mr. Linky if you have a HAIKU POST.

3. Pick up a Haiku Friday button to display on the post or in your sidebar by clicking the button above.

Thanks for the updates….I’ve been wondering about a few of those things!
Sorry your bday was a bust – my last one sucked to, so I just pretend it never happened! I’m still 29!

Really? Your clothes are truly getting cleaner by letting the washer fill first. Damn. I may have to also change my ways.

Although I suppose it doesn’t matter that much when I routinely forget that clothes are in the washer and try to convince myself 2 days later as I load them into the dryer that they don’t really smell.

I so want the Dyson as well. Maybe we can go halvesies on it. Yeah, we can go in on it together and then just ship it back and forth when one of us needs to use it! Hey, I’m really liking this idea. You in?!?!?!?! :-)

I bought the wrinkle cream (based on your post, in fact!!) and found that if I apply it like spackle it softens the look of my apostrophe wrinkles — but it’s temporary. Bummer.

LOL, it’s always interesting to revisit topics and give updates after awhile. Sorry you don’t have your Dyson yet. I’d love one too, but for now I can only dream of one.

And I’m sorry your birthday was such a bust. I hope Tate plans to make it up to you!

Oh Jennifer. I’m so sorry that your day was a bust. :-(
Thanks for all the updates. I’m sorry you still haven’t gotten your Dyson. Maybe you’ll stumble on a giveaway of one and win it.
    Great Haiku, as always.

Aw, I’m sorry that your birthday wasn’t wicked awesome! Maybe this weekend?

And I’m down to the one HOUR dieting. Works much better than the one day…

BTW, I noticed no wrinkles. You’re smooth, young and spritely. :-)

And, you should totally come to MY Meijer. Our cashiers are sweet old ladies with MAGNIFICENT bagging (and conversational) skillz.

    Great Haiku!!

Glad to hear that you are behaving up there. Reread the post and comments. Where are these people getting washers that add the detergent for you? I need one and it should load itself, and move the clothes to the dryer. And while I am at it I need a dryer that will fold clothes and put them away. Hey, if I’m gonna dream, might as well be big!

Wonderful ‘Ku update filled with information today! You write these well each week. Sorry about the birthday hassles. Good luck with getting rid of weight … and wrinkles. I’m ‘distracted’ by tennis today so am late to the Haiku party ;–)

I’m hoping to create a 2nd ‘Ku as I usually do at Sacred Ruminations, but after visiting some other Haiku Fridays this morning I plan to watch some more tennis (if Molly will let me).

Well, at least you didn’t have to take care of a post-op 3yr old on your bday. That is my gift this year…to take care of Babyhead after he gets his surgery.

    *sigh*

    There is always next year!!

I’m sorry your birthday was a wash. I “share mine with Jesus” so I’m usually 2nd best.

As for laundry, that’s totally weird. We toss dirty clothes into the washer as we go (one of the only ways it ever gets done) so I do it your old way.

Great updates!! Sorry your birthday was a bust, though!! I’d have swung by with a new camera…but my truck went bust (story coming soon)…and K has decided to beat the crap out of herself (story also coming VERY soon). Sooo…yeah.

We’ll get our cameras ;) One day.

One of these days I will remember to attempt a haiku friday.

Was there a line to the back of the store at your Meijer on Friday afternoon with only 2 check-out lanes open?

I’m going to give this haiku a try next week. Remind me again – it’s how many syllables, which lines??
