Sketty Day

[pictures deleted]
Also known as “It’s Going To Take an Hour to Clean Up After Lunch Day,”  but it’s worth it because it’s also known as “The Kids Actually Eat Lunch Without Whining and Throwing Food and Therefore I Get To Eat In Relative Peace Day.”

Apparently, and I wasn’t aware of this, but it is also ”I’m Suspicious of This Crazy Woman Taking Pictures of Me While I’m Eating, Please Send Help Day.”

Darn.  It’s also supposed to be Wordless Wednesday, isn’t it?  Oops.

  1. You are SO much nicer than I was. I have children who still won’t eat pasta with sauce because when they were your kids ages, I always gave them plain or buttered pasta instead, so it wasn’t so messy. They won’t eat PB&J, because I always gave them PB plain, so it wouldn’t be so messy! I had no idea I was scarring them for life! lol. Your kids are just adorable. I had no idea they were so close in age! Man you are busy! Enjoy this precious time, I wish mine were babies again.

  3. Who is that boy in the first picture? Surely it cannot e Carson because the boy in your picture looks like such a big boy, not a little guy.

We haven’t braved spaghetti yet. I can’t imagine scraping sauce off the walls while still trying to sell (long story). You are such a good Mama.

We also rarely have a problem eating when it’s spaghetti (or any kind of pasta) day.

In fact, we had that for lunch yesterday too!

  14. That makes me sad. Babyhead won’t eat anything messy because he has his dad’s dislike of being dirty…I have to feed it to him (yes, even at 3 he would rather starve than get spaghetti or oatmeal or mac n cheese on him).

    *sniff*

I don’t have any pictures like that.

We have the same Thomas the Train placemat and bowl but I think my 6 yr old is growing out of it. It will be sad to say farewell to Thomas…he was such a loyal friend for so many years through both my boys.

  27. Looks delicious! And I agree - it would totally be worth the work to clean up just to have a warm meal eaten in relative peace. See how I inserted “warm” in there? I don’t even remember when I last had a warm meal at home.

BTW - your kids have beautiful eyes!
