Cherry popsicle
devoured in licks and bites
Mess and stick remain

What is your favorite part of summer?

To play along for Haiku Friday, follow these steps:
1. Write your own haiku on your blog. You can do one or many, all following a theme or just random. What’s a haiku, you ask? Click here.

2. Sign the Mister Linky below with your name and the link to your haiku post (the specific post URL, not your generic blog URL). We will delete your link if it doesn’t go to a haiku. If you need help with this, contact Christina or myself. REMEMBER…ONLY sign Mr. Linky if you have a HAIKU POST. Seriously.

3. Pick up a Haiku Friday button to display on the post or in your sidebar by clicking the button above.

The perfect haiku to capture summer!

Gotta love those “possicles” (as a 4 year old I watch calls them). Enjoy these summah days with those kiddos.

flickrlovrs last blog post..A Thousand Words Thursday

i posted my generic blog address…oops…so sorry….i’ll do better next week :)

So adorable. The perfect summer haiku.
Cherry popsicles are absolutely the best!

rachels last blog post..Bright Lights, Late Nights

Oooh, summertime…I love rain, the smell of fresh cut grass, long days, sleeping in - no school for the boys, baseball, and cold sweet tea.

Devilish Southern Belles last blog post..I needed that!

Ah, summer at its best. Glad you are enjoying. It really is such fun and happy season, isn’t it?

Hey where do we find the themes???

I’m feeling left out.

~JJ!s last blog post..Snore ‘Ku

@~JJ!: We haven’t had any themes for a few weeks! Don’t worry, you’re not being left out!

I love haiku Friday, but do we need a theme? I just write what I am thinking.

Vickis last blog post..Haiku Friday

@Vicki: You don’t have to do a theme…we haven’t had one in a few weeks.

Even when we do have themes, you don’t have to use it! YOu can always do whatever you want with your haiku!

Great summer haiku! Love the pics!

My favorite part of summer is the long summer days and warm summer nights. I just showed my girl a firefly for the first time, and it was magical.

I (accidentally) posted this last night, but silly me - forgot to sign Mr. Linky until now. I’m a doof.

LOVE your haiku! I think we were clearly having similar thoughts of summertime. :-)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Mandys last blog post..Haiku Friday - The Summer Love/Hate Edition

Great haiku!

I love warm summer evenings under the stars, sitting with hubby, sipping a cold beer.

I love little kids in swim suits while they enjoy the sunshine.

I love the smell of sunscreen….

I love watching flowers come into bloom!

Connie @ The Chronicless last blog post..Persistent!

Don’t you just freaking love summer?
Great ‘ku!

Kathryns last blog post..A Perfect Summer Day

Great ‘ku–I know other’s have said the same thing, but it is! I love summer too.

Stupid question time–are those your soybeans? I did not know you lived on a farm. Is that what your hubs does full-time? That seems so hard to me, I have a real appreciation for families that are willing to do it–we’d be in real trouble without them.

Mom24s last blog post..A black thumb…can you help me?

I love the line about the soybeans growing with you. That’s awesome!

Mama Zens last blog post..May I Be Here Now

@Mom24: Not a stupid question at all! But no, those aren’t our soybeans. There is a field that backs up to our backyard. My son is obsessed with John Deere and loves to pretend those are his crops! They check them most evenings to see if they’ve grown. It’s really cute!

Lovely ‘ku. I put mine off, this week. Had a story to finish. But next week, for sure.

lceels last blog post..The Next 100 Words

not having to wake up and dash around getting two kids and a husband (and myself) ready to take to school and work. Lazy days with no agenda, entire Sundays spent at the beach. Love. it.

I love your ‘ku! How cool that the field is right out your backdoor! Carson’s a doll.

The swingset. Lemonade. Wading in a creek.

Brings back memories …
summertime activities
playing in the sun ;–)

Actually … retirement in Southern California makes most days all year round free like this, but I do remember that (as a kid) the first day of summer was the first day I was allowed to take off my shoes & go outside barefoot … the way I pretty much live life. LOL
Hugs and blessings,

Oh, I love the picture of the little foot! Adorable…

I posted my haiku; without even knowing I wrote about summer stuff too! :)
the dragonflys last blog post..I dream a rose garden..

Great haiku! I love cherry popsicles. Makes me appreciate summer even when I’m sweating to death in my kitchen trying to make dinner. :)

The popsicle faces, dirty hands, skinned knees from bike rides. I love being able to be outside with the boys. AHHHH. And boy do they sleep better!

Teris last blog post..For the Love of France

So timely for us since Seattle’s summer finally began! I love not having to endure day after day of cloudy gray nonsense!

And the fact that I get to wear cute little summer dresses , and have BBQs and hang out in our little backyard pool and and….wel what really isn’t to love about summer (oh I guess sweating isn’t fun but yeah this is my favorite season)

Worker Mommys last blog post..I’m not a writer, I don’t even play one on TV * Updated

Great ‘ku! My favourite part is being able to sit out in the sun watching Zack playing with the neighbourhood kids. They’re all so sweet with him - it’s so cute to see!

abunslifes last blog post..Hittin the Road, Sort of.

I love these, especially the cherry popsicle one.

For me, it’s being outside, tending the garden, jumping in the water on a hot summer day, the smell BBQ and fireflies.

Kimberlys last blog post..Haiku Friday: Inner Tiger

My favorite thing about summer is little boys in swimshorts - dirty as all hell from playing in the combination of dirt and water.
