What is your favorite part of summer?

To play along for Haiku Friday, follow these steps:
1. Write your own haiku on your blog. You can do one or many, all following a theme or just random. What’s a haiku, you ask? Click here.

2. Sign the Mister Linky below with your name and the link to your haiku post (the specific post URL, not your generic blog URL). We will delete your link if it doesn’t go to a haiku. If you need help with this, contact Christina or myself. REMEMBER…ONLY sign Mr. Linky if you have a HAIKU POST. Seriously.

3. Pick up a Haiku Friday button to display on the post or in your sidebar by clicking the button above.

The perfect haiku to capture summer!

Gotta love those “possicles” (as a 4 year old I watch calls them). Enjoy these summah days with those kiddos.

@Vicki: You don’t have to do a theme…we haven’t had one in a few weeks.

Even when we do have themes, you don’t have to use it! YOu can always do whatever you want with your haiku!

Great summer haiku! Love the pics!

My favorite part of summer is the long summer days and warm summer nights. I just showed my girl a firefly for the first time, and it was magical.

LOVE your haiku! I think we were clearly having similar thoughts of summertime. :-)

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Great ‘ku–I know other’s have said the same thing, but it is! I love summer too.

Stupid question time–are those your soybeans? I did not know you lived on a farm. Is that what your hubs does full-time? That seems so hard to me, I have a real appreciation for families that are willing to do it–we’d be in real trouble without them.

@Mom24: Not a stupid question at all! But no, those aren’t our soybeans. There is a field that backs up to our backyard. My son is obsessed with John Deere and loves to pretend those are his crops! They check them most evenings to see if they’ve grown. It’s really cute!

    Brings back memories …
    summertime activities
    playing in the sun ;–)

Actually … retirement in Southern California makes most days all year round free like this, but I do remember that (as a kid) the first day of summer was the first day I was allowed to take off my shoes & go outside barefoot … the way I pretty much live life. LOL
    Hugs and blessings,
