Favorite? Eh, most chocolate bars, candy corn, even that taffy stuff with the peanut butter in it!
Least favorite? I know there is some candy I hate but can’t think of any off the top of my head.
Suckiest treat ever? I can’t say I got any really horrid ones though my ex’s grandmother would give out pennies if she ran out of candy until we told her that kids wouldn’t appreciate it…

Two hours of trick or treating last night and NO 100 Grand bars!! I’m out of my mind! I may also be hopped up on Milky Way bars, but that’s a detail. I was counting on the 100 Grands!

Actually, I am a big fan of Wonka Bars ( chocolate and grahm cracker chunks ). The worst candy I got was either burned peanut brittle or that cheap foil wrapped candy that goes for 100/$1. Uggghhh, that’s crappy stuff.

I’m going to admit this right now to all of your gazillion readers.
One year many moons ago my mother grabbed a bag of “candy” at the last minute for the trick or treaters. We went about our normal halloween escapades. A few days later I grabbed a piece of mom’s candy, thinking it was a Brachs hard candy. I stuck it in my mouth and it was the worst tasting thing I ever had. I checked the wrapper and it was cough drops. My mother had given out cough drops for trick or treat.

We did trick or treat last night and I already stole snickers and Sugar Babies.
Add mini Milky Way bars to your two choices, and I’m in heaven. My favorite part of Halloween is taking all the kids’ candy and letting them just pick a dozen or so. All the more for me.

@Amy Thank you! It DOES justify the DSLR, doesn’t it! In fact, my husband has even begrudgingly agreed that it takes great photos…and he even said I was a pretty good photographer.

My fave are Milky Ways cuz I love chocolate AND caramel. The worst thing I ever got was some religious pamphlet telling me I was going to burn in hell for participating in the satanic holiday of Halloween. Really who gives a little kid that on Halloween? Asshat.

Worst thing ever that the kids received were EXPIRED Halloween coupons (like the ones for Burger King and Wendy’s) Worse yet, I didn’t realize they were expired til I took them up there to get something and left my purse at home. They were so upset and I had to scrounge around in the van for some change to get them the frosty’s.

The one year the neighbor not only handed out the religious tracts (which…whatEVER), but also dumped in a handful of SHELLED PEANUTS. Hubs and I looked at each other like, “Are ya kidding me?” Then a friend pointed out the REALLY grave error with that, “What about the kids with peanut allergies?”
My favorite: snickers bars and twizzlers. Hubs: peanut butter cups. Somehow those “mysteriously” disappear out of the buckets by Nov. 1. Spooky!

My favorite Halloween treat was always popcorn balls. My neighbor growing up, who was like a third grandma to me, always made them for the kids in our ‘hood and her grandchildren. We would go to her house as our last trick or treat stop and have popcorn balls. Aw, I just got all nostalgic!

Anything Reese’s is my favorite. There was always a favorite house in our neighborhood growing up that made popcorn balls every year. WE’d change our costumes tons of times just to get extras!
Worst candy….those little candies that come in those paper wrappers that are black and orange…what the heck are those things anyways? Gross.

Awesome shot! I have gotten several apples in my many Halloweens…and like some others, I have also gotten toothbrushes. But I also used to get a little airplane made out of candy (lifesavers, gum, and who knows what else) that was always my favorite treat — they were all hand made by my aunt’s neighbor, and were SO COOL!

No kids or trick or treaters = staying in with girlfriends with a (ok a FEW) nice bottle of wine & yummy “hors” from Trader Joe’s…
We used to get apples from the cute old couple next door to us…but they also had an antique cash register in their kitchen, and we’d get to make it ding & open the drawer, and they gave us pennies with our apples. Actually, that kinda sucks, huh? They meant well though…
Also, a few years we trick or treated at our orthodontist’s house (happened to be a neighbor)…he used to give out toothbrushes…
