Have I told you all about my latest obsession in addition to all things photography? I don’t think I’ve mentioned it, but I’m totally and completely obsessed with Etsy.
My lack of crafty abilities combined with wanting to support small business has led to a full-on, in need of Dr. Drew*, ADDICTION.
Most recently, I’ve bought a handmade baby gift for a friend (I’d link to it here, but she might read this and I want it to be a surprise.) I’ve also been marking hundreds of items and sellers as favorites for Christmas gift ideas. If I’ve been absent from your blog lately, it’s not you. It’s my Etsy ADDICTION.
Since we’re moving into a new house soon and away from this floral infested rental, I’ve been scouring Etsy for cute and affordable art for Carson and Ella’s playroom. One of the shops I found was studio jk vinyl.
Studio jk vinyl has a wide selection of wall decals that are so unique and creative! I’ve narrowed it down to getting the kids’ monograms/names, crayon decals with their names, or maybe going with an owl theme in the room.
I love that you can choose colors and personalize the wall art with names. I think my love of monograms and names MUST be a direct result of my 3rd stint being a southerner! I also love that there are things that aren’t for KIDS, but for design-savvy ADULTS, like I dream of being.

I love Etsy and love vinyl lettering! I’d go with the large monogram.

You know I met Dr. Drew AND Adam Corolla back in the mtv Loveline days at the VMA’s? Got a picture, too. Unfortunately, my ex is also in that picture, but I kept it around anyway.

I’d go with the classic monogram for the wall. It’s not as permanent as a tattoo but its something you’re going to want to be able to live with for a long time.

I was just thinking — how is it possible to have a decently cute house when you can only shop at Target and Kohl’s and then all your stuff just looks like every other mom you know. I’d change all that by getting either the dandelion or the birds on the wire for my OWN bedroom!

This is amazing! I’ve seen a few giveaways lately, but this is the first time that one actually applies to me. So here’s where I hope I win with all my might.
Eric and I are expecting our first baby in February, and I’ve been scouring Etsy almost daily for wall decals for the room. My absolute favorite is the dandelion. My dad collected Opus dolls when I was little and loved the comic strip. And, as all fans of Berkeley Breathed know, Opus loves dandelions, so I have a soft spot for them. If you get a chance, you should read his children’s books…there’s a dandelion in each one.

I love the little birds on a wire, it would be perfect for my daughter Ella who we call bitty-bird. She is in need of a little extra attention these days, her sister is having some “issues” and has been getting more than her fair share of mom’s attention. Even if I don’t win I am going to order those little birds, thanks for the inspiration. I am so in need of a little inspiration right about now!
