It all started when I tried to get Carson interested in wearing big boy underwear.
“Carson! You should wear these underwear! These are JUST LIKE Daddy’s underwear!!” My explanation dripped with enthusiasm. “When Daddy gets home you’ll have to ask him to show you his underwear.”
Now, every night within seconds of Tate walking in the door, Carson runs screaming to him, “Daddy!” he says breathlessly, “Do you have on the same underwear as me?!”
They both pull down their pants, LEAVING THEIR UNDERWEAR ON, and have their own little boxer brief fashion show.
(I wish I could post a picture of their daily “briefs,” but I’m pretty sure Tate would rather I not post pictures of him in his underwear on my blog.)
Well, darn! I was so hoping to get to know Tate a little better.

Hey, what’s on the blog, stays on the blog! I really don’t think any of us will tell Tate if you show us him in his skivvies being a good Daddy! And if they are both wearing Batman undies well, so be it.
At least Tate’s willing to comply. There’s a reason mine is still sitting to pee – it has something to do with Puppy locking the door and flipping out if Knute catches him using the pot.
Wow, that is SO cute! My little boy’s routine when “DaDa” comes home is to “help” him change out of his work clothes then he DEMANDS that Daddy goes “psspss” on the potty. It’s a step toward potty training, I guess. Or just makes us really, really weird. No posting a pic of that “ritual” for sure!

I got my son some plain white briefs (for daycare in case of accidents) and he was wearing them at my mom and dad’s one night. My mom pointed out that his underwear were “just like grandpa’s.” Now every time my son wears the white ones, he calls them his grandpa underwear!

oh, too funny! When I did family daycare and everyone was potty training, each day they would compare underwear – who had barbie, who had batman, ect. Gotta love it when the kids can get adults involved in show-and-tell!
