Just another perspective…I’m always happy to give teens (in costumes) candy (& not last year’s) Trick or treating is far better than all of the other things they could be up to!!

Why do kids trick or treat so old nowadays? I wouldn’t have been caught DEAD trick or treating as a teenager.

You could give them the rock hard candy, or some granola or fruit, thus ensuring they will never be back on your doorstep again!

SEVEN? Wow… we had 5. The weather was really warm, but it was raining. Plus, we were the ONLY house on the block with a light on, so I’m not surprised nobody wasted their time on our street. That means more candy for me!

We put together big treat bags for the kids that come to our house. We also have a “teenager bag” with leftover candy from the year before. I get such a thrill out of putting handfuls of rock hard caramels into the bags of surly 16 and 17 year olds.

While out trick or treatin g with my 4 year ld last night, I swear I swear people older than me in costumes. A bit of an exaggeration, but definitely saw kids drive into our neighborhood to steal, I mean beg for, our candy. Lame.

We had too many trick or treaters here, being the only place that had it on Thursday, many people in other towns came here to my hood to TOT. The things people will do for free candy.

Love your idea of handing out that candy to the teens. Now I just laugh at them and turn them away.

What’s with teenagers?? When we were out yesterday, we saw a teen dressed as Pac Man. He was walking down the street by himself, must have been about 15. I kind of felt bad for him because he was all by himself, so I yelled out “I really like your Pac Man costume.” To which he replied, nothing. He just looked at me and kept walking. Well, EXCUUUUSE MEEEEE!!!!
