Love it. People are always giving my daughter candy for no reason at all. We are careful about her consumption and don’t really let her eat candy, so we eat it. She totally understands. When I get bigger Mommy, she says. Great post.

I always took the Snickers, too…or the $100,000 bars. Those are so yummy, and my kids didn’t need them anyway.

We kept a bucket of the candy and gave the grandparents a bucket to dole out as they saw fit. My husband has been in charge of our bucket doling (a treat after dinner and such.) One of my kids went for it, and my husband actually said, “Get your hands off mah bucket!” Guess I know who’s candy it is *now*.

Eating their Halloween candy is an act of LOVE. You know, because you don’t want them to get all fat and diabetic. You’re just thinking about nutrition. Eating the Snickers is almost like a sacrifice. You’re a giver.
