Don't men just have the WORST sense of timing? This past December, I was sitting at the computer entering all of the holiday commitments into my calendar, making lists of all the gifts I had to buy and where they needed to be shipped to. Downloading recipes for all the contributions to cocktail parties and figuring out WHEN was I going to fit cooking in. Blah blah blah.... FINALLY, I got to sit down in the living room for a little bit of relaxation, where my husband proceeded to sit down with me and tell me that he is feeling NEGLECTED lately, and that *I* need to make more time for HIM. it’s great that he recognized the need for a start.
and maybe the humor was helpful to diffuse some of the situation. no doubt things were said that you can now re-visit with clean and plain teeth.

I’m a huge fan of open communication (which sometimes seems like confrontation in our house). I also totally believe in having an unbiased person (aka a therapist) help you work through issues.

Marriage is hard. But anything worth having is worth working through.

Blissdom was amazing! It was probably the best conference I’ve been to so far. I need to write a recap post, but I don’t know how to put into words just how much I learned and how inspired I feel.
