Back to school shopping at TJ Maxx/Marshalls

Disclosure:  I received a $50 gift card to spend at either TJ Maxx or Marshalls.  All opinions are my own.

BOTH of my kids are going to school this year!  They’ll be gone TWO DAYS A WEEK, from 8:30 until 2:30.  I’ll have twelve hours all to MYSELF!!!

I’m slightly excited.

I was also slightly excited when I was offered a gift card to TJ Maxx/Marshalls to get so back to school clothes for Carson and Ella.  Giddy up!

Since Marshalls is practically in my backyard, that’s where we headed one hot, sunny August morning.

Carson was totally confused that I was trying to buy them jeans and long sleeves.

“But Mommy?” Carson pointed out, “It’s really hot outside??”

After much cajoling and promises of popsicles, I finally convinced them that they needed a Polo button down with Polo blue jeans and a darling tunic with pink leggings with a button embellishment from Maggie and Zoe.

(Ella was thrilled to be modeling.  Carson was…not.)
(Their lunchboxes were not purchased at Marshalls.)

I’m biased about this, but I think they look adorable and READY TO GO TO SCHOOL.

Marshalls had a great selection of boys and girls stylish and affordable back to school clothes, as well as a large selection of backpacks.  Carson’s shirt was $17, his jeans were $13.  Ella’s whole outfit was $13.  I feel like I got a great deal since everything was name brand and these cost what I usually spend on clothes for them.

Next year, not only will I be buying back to school clothes, but SCHOOL SUPPLIES!  Kindergarten is right around the corner.
